MEETING MINUTES
Mayfield Village
August 5, 2019

The Planning and Zoning Commission met in regular session on Mon, August 5, 2019 at 6:30 p.m. at the Mayfield Village Civic Center, Civic Hall. Chairman Syracuse presided.

Roll Call

Present: Mr. Vetus Syracuse (Chairman), Dr. Sue McGrath (Chairman ProTem), Mr. Paul Fikaris, Mr. Jim Kless, and Mr. Joseph Saponaro (Council Alternate)

Also Present: Mr. Anthony Coyne (Law Director), Mr. John Marquart (Economic Development Manager), Mr. Tom Cappello (Village Engineer), Mr. John Marrelli (Building Commissioner), and Ms. Deborah Garbo (Commission Secretary)

Absent: Mr. Allen Meyers (Council Rep), Mr. Jim Farmer, and Mayor Bodnar

CONSIDERATION OF MEETING MINUTES: March 4, 2019

Mr. Kless, seconded by Mr. Fikaris made a motion to approve the Minutes of March 4, 2019 as written.

Nays: None

Motion Carried. Minutes Approved.

PROPOSAL:

  1. Preliminary Site Plan
    Planned Residential Development District
    (PRDD) - Highland Rd.
    345 Miner Rd., LLC
    Skoda Construction
    Polaris Engineering

OPEN PORTION:

Chairman Syracuse states, this is a regular meeting of the Mayfield Village Planning & Zoning Commission. The only proposal before us tonight is the preliminary site plan for the Planned Residential Development District (PRDD) Highland Rd for Skoda Construction, 345 Miner Rd, LLC. I was not at the workshop meeting, but I did read the minutes. My understanding is that tonight we’re taking a vote to approve the preliminary plan as presented at the workshop meeting on July 18th and forwarding it to Council. Is that correct John?

Mr. Marrelli replied, that’s correct.

Chairman Syracuse asked, does anyone have any questions or comments they’d like to add from the workshop?

There were none.

DECISION:

Mr. Kless, seconded by Dr. McGrath made a motion to approve the Preliminary Site Plan for Highland Rd Planned Residential Development District for Skoda Construction as presented.  

ROLL CALL

Ayes: Mr. Syracuse, Dr. McGrath, Mr. Fikaris, Mr. Kless, Mr. Saponaro
Nays: None             

Motion Carried. Recommendation to Council.

Chairman Syracuse said, I know the Mayfield City School District “Old School House” building rezoning issue was discussed at the last workshop meeting, but we’re not going to be voting on that tonight.

ADJOURNMENT:

Mr. Fikaris, seconded by Mr. Kless made a motion to adjourn the meeting.
