PROPOSAL:

  1. Ground Sign
    Weber Wood Medinger
    Beta Center
    730/740/750/760 Beta Dr.
    Signature Sign Company

OPEN PORTION:

Chairman Dinardo called the meeting to order. Signature Sign Co. was here on Aug 14th at which time their proposal was tabled pending a request of some items by the Board.

James Vasey with Signature Sign Co. displays a sample of the PVC product for the molding and Glen-Gery brick sample that’ll match the building.

Daryl Young from Weber Wood Medinger said the brick is virtually an identical match to the building.

Mr. Tombazzi asked about the foundation.

Chairman Dinardo replied foundation is concrete.

James Vasey said there’s going to be an aluminum black band around the bottom of the sign.

Chairman asked about landscaping at the bottom of the base.

Daryl Young replied, if no objection, we anticipate putting mulch around it.

Chairman Dinardo thinks there needs to be some landscaping up against the base. The question is what materials.

Daryl Young prefers not to use gravel. I have no objection putting a circular bed around the sign and using mulch. It’ll look fine.

Chairman Dinardo asked if the 6” band is high enough. Should it be 8 inches?

James Vasey replied, it looks in proportion to the sign. I think if we go any higher, it’ll contrast the band on the top.

Chairman Dinardo concludes, you’ll do something around the base, i.e. decorative mulch, Glen-Gery Classic Series Oxford Ironspot brick to match, black coping at the top. Is this illuminated from the interior?

James Vasey replied, it’s not illuminated.

Chairman Dinardo said you brought in everything we requested. Does anybody else have any further questions?

There was none.

Mr. Klein, seconded by Mr. Tombazzi made a motion to approve the proposed ground sign for Beta Center at 730/740/750/760 Beta Drive.
