Tool Lending

TOOL LENDING POLICY

For the past several years, Mayfield Village has had a tool lending program available to its residents. Below is a list of items available for use at no charge. A $20.00 security deposit is required. This deposit will be returned provided no damage is done to the equipment.

Tools are to be picked up and returned between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. This will be enforced as employees of the Service Department must be available to assist with the distribution and receiving of the equipment.

All tools must be cleaned and refueled (if applicable) or deposit will be forfeited. Note: Some equipment requires a special blend of fuel. If you fail to use the proper mixture, you will be assessed the repair costs.

Tools are to be used for Village property maintenance only. The equipment is not to be used for commercial purposes.

Use of the equipment is for a 24-hour period. Should weather prevent use of the equipment within this time frame, a call must be made to the Service Department (440.442.5506) for an extension of time.

The equipment is to be used only by the resident submitting the deposit. The purpose for this regulation is to protect the equipment from damage due to low fuel (oil) and/or from misuse. If the equipment is used by a neighbor, any damage will be assessed to the depositor.

A Village employee must check the tool/equipment when it is returned prior to release of the deposit.
