AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCEAUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING
THE MAYOR AND PRESIDENT OF COUNCIL
TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH
911 CELLULAR SERVICES, LLC
FOR MASS NOTIFICATION SYSTEM SERVICES
WHEREAS, 911 Cellular Services, LLC offers a limited license for various safety technologies through its 911 Cellular software products and mass notification system services; and
WHEREAS, Village of Mayfield desires to supplement its current CodeRed alert system with 911 Cellular Services, LLC’s software products and mass notification system services; and
WHEREAS, this Council finds and determines that it is appropriate for the Village of Mayfield to enter into a software system license agreement with 911 Cellular Services, LLC for such product and services.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the Village of Mayfield, County of Cuyahoga, State of Ohio:
SECTION 1. The Council of Mayfield Village, Ohio hereby authorizes and directs the Mayor and President of Council to enter into a software system license agreement with 911 Cellular Services, LLC as set forth in the document attached and incorporated by reference as Exhibit “A”.
SECTION 2. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of the Council relating to the adoption of this Ordinance have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, took place in meetings open to the public in compliance with all statutory requirements including the requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the health, safety and welfare of the residents of Mayfield Village. Furthermore, the team will be forming within the next thirty (30) days; wherefore, this Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon passage by the affirmative vote of not less than five (5) members elected to Council and approval by the Mayor or otherwise at the earliest time allowed by law.
