Beautification Committee

Beautification projects and improvements include, but are in no way limited to what is known as ephemera which is more fully defined to mean accessories or enhancements that serve to evaluate the visual and temporal environment in a manner that is pleasurable, comforting and/or satisfying and thus benefits of the common good. These beautification projects and improvements may include, but are not limited to, neighborhood entrances, bridges and culverts, main street and side street rights-of-way, parks, trail-ways, and similar amenities, public landscaping, signage and related art works.

The Beautification Committee shall be charged with viewing Mayfield Village as a whole when reviewing common designing or recommending the projects and improvements defined above, and shall work in concert with the Architectural Review Board and the Planning and Zoning Commission to suggest standards and standardization of materials, styles, uniformity as well as diversity with regard to new projects, new construction, upgrading existing properties, buildings and appurtenances both residential and commercial. The Beautification Committee may work with or make recommendations directly to the appropriate department, board, commission or committee and will ultimately report on all such matters to council prior to making any such recommendation.

Meetings held monthly on an as needed basis. When held they meet at 7:00 p.m. at the Civic Center.
