April 3, 2017

The Planning and Zoning Commission met in regular session on Mon, April 3, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. at the Mayfield Village Civic Center, Civic Hall. Chairman Syracuse presided. 

Roll Call

Present: Mr. Vetus Syracuse (Chairman), Dr. Sue McGrath (Chairman Pro-Tem), Mr. Bill Marquardt, Mr. Garry Regan, Mr. Paul Fikaris, and Mr. David Hoehnen                                                  

Also Present: Mr. Mark Guidetti (Asst. Law Director), Mr. Tom Cappello (Village Engineer), Mr. John Marrelli (Building Commissioner), and Ms. Deborah Garbo (Secretary)

Absent: Mayor Bodnar and Mr. Steve Jerome (Council Alternate)

Consideration of Meeting Minutes: Feb 6, 2017

Mr. Regan, seconded by Mr. Hoehnen made a motion to approve the minutes of Feb 6, 2017.

Ayes: Mr. Syracuse, Dr. McGrath, Mr. Marquardt, Mr. Regan, Mr. Fikaris, and Mr. Hoehnen
Nays: None                           

Motion Carried. Minutes Approved As Written.

PROPOSAL:

  1. Luisa Fappiano, Trustee
    480 SOM Ctr. Rd.
    a) Site Improvement Plan & Timeline   
    b) Temporary and Conditional Use Permit for Outdoor Storage
    Kenneth J. Fisher Co., Inc.
    Note: ARB approved fencing & siding on 3/9/17

OPEN PORTION:

Chairman Syracuse called the meeting to order. This is a regular meeting of the Mayfield Village Planning & Zoning Commission. The only proposal on our agenda tonight is Luisa Fappiano, Trustee for the property at 480 SOM Ctr. Rd. The proposal is for approval of site improvement plan and timeline and the second part of that is temporary and conditional use for outdoor storage. The applicant is represented by Kenneth J. Fisher. 

We discussed at the workshop meeting of March 16th that the temporary use permit is for the outdoor storage and the conditional use permit is for the use of the property for the landscape company. We had plans that were submitted at the workshop. The timeline I believe, correct me if I’m wrong, was 3 months for the fence to go up and then 6 months from the date of the permit being issued for the completion of the job.

Mr. Marrelli replied, that’s correct.

DECISION:

Mr. Hoehnen, seconded by Mr. Regan made a motion to approve for Luisa Fappiano, Trustee at 480 SOM Ctr. Rd, the following:

  1. Site Improvement Plan and Timeline
  2. Temporary Use Permit for Outdoor Storage
    Conditional Use Permit for Use of the property for Landscape Company

Chairman Syracuse asked, any discussion?

Mr. Regan asked Chairman to repeat the timeline.

Chairman Syracuse replied, from the time that the permits are granted, they’ll have 3 months for the fence to be completed and then the entire job based on the plans submitted is to be completed within 6 months.

Motion Carried. Recommendation to Council.
