The Mayfield Village Finance Department
Director of Finance/Economic Development: Philip M. Brett All of the Villages financial affairs are handled by the Finance Department. Detailed reports are prepared monthly and disseminated to the Administration and Council. More comprehensive reports are prepared at the end of the year and are audited by representatives of the Auditor of State. Copies of these reports are available upon request. This staff receives and records all moneys paid to the Village, pays all Village bills, prepares paychecks and payroll reports and generally records and reports on all Village transactions. Village residents receive a 100% credit up to 1.5% for municipal income tax paid to other municipalities. A resident who works in a municipality (such as Cleveland) which levies 2% income tax owes no further tax to the Village, but must still file an income tax form through the Regional Income Tax Agency (R.I.T.A.) Forms and questions should be referred directly to R.I.T.A. at (440) 526-0900, Monday through Friday during normal business hours. Tax forms are available online at the Regional Income Tax Agency website. Go to the Regional Income Tax Agency site (R.I.T.A.)
