Karamu House is America's premier African-American performing arts and community education center. Located in Cleveland, Ohio's historic Fairfax neighborhood, Karamu was established in 1915 and stands tall in our nation’s history as an inclusive institution that served as a common ground for people of all races, religions, and socioeconomic backgrounds. Karamu has always been a trusted community resource for local families.

Our MISSION is to produce professional theatre, provide arts education, and present community programs for all people while honoring the African-American experience.
